Prop 2 and the environment

Dave Long, a California resident, describes a factory egg farm with more than 700,000 caged hens next to his San Bernardino County home in this Yes! on Prop 2 video:

Not only are the absolutely atrocious living conditions of the chickens readily apparent (see a previous post on egg-laying hens), but the awful environmental implications of this kind of mass-production animal farming begin to become clear as well.  You can pull up this Yes! on Prop 2 page for more on the environmental hazards of factory farming: from affecting the quality of our air and water, to significantly affecting the quality of life and even health of their human neighbors, and even contributing drastically to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.  And you'll see why a substantial array of environmental and consumer advocacy groups, not just animal advocacy organizations, have endorsed Prop 2.
