Animals & 'Aminals' at SustainLane

I owe a big thanks to Cris Bisch and the Creation Care community at SustainLane for inviting me to submit my personal story "Animals and 'Aminals'" as their community feature for the week.  The story, which you may have bumped into previously, recounts how I came to be so attached to animals and a concern for their wellbeing.  But I also added an update about why it's so important for not one sparrow and animal advocacy in general to connect with the creation care movement.  I hope to write more on that theme soon.

In the meantime, I'm deeply honored to be part of the SustainLane community, and grateful to Cris for coordinating the feature.  We met several months ago through an evangelical environmental group on Facebook, and she has truly been one of the most gregarious and others-promoting advocates I have known.  not one sparrow and I personally have benefitted much from her warmth and kindness, and I know the creation care movement on the whole has even more.  You can find out more about Cris, her writing and passions here.

I'm also grateful to Rusty Pritchard of Flourish for the very kind write-up he gave not one sparrow in his recent article "All Creatures Great and Small" for Evangelicals for Social Action.  Rusty's become a valued colleague and friend as well, and he does important work with Flourish, a creation care initiative which "inspires and equips churches to better love God by reviving human lives and the landscapes on which they depend."  Please look them up if you get a chance.
