inspired by kittens, and other funnies

Before we get into some more serious subject matter in the coming days, I thought I'd share some animal funnies I've been wanting to pass along.  The first is a very cute video of a little girl doing some ad-lib commentating on a book about kittens:

Speaking of cats, I got a big kick out of this LOLcat as well:

And we haven't had the pleasure of featuring a post about ferrets yet (though I did see a fascinating documentary about them and their owners on PBS a few years back), but this video is a blast:

And finally, you have to read this heartwarming story which made the rounds a year or two ago.  It's about a dog named Lucky, who collected toys and items from all over the house and stored them in his own basement treasure box, never to escape if he could help it.  When his owner was struck with breast cancer though, he showed just where his true treasure lay (thanks to Bev Vlahos for forwarding).

Oh, my! It looks like life is one long romp for the ferret family! : ) Very funny--especially the way they run sideways. I winced every time they went down the stairs, though, as I fell down the stairs tonight. Ouch! Thanks for the Lucky story, too, Ben. Very touching. Dogs are amazing creatures....
